Both courses, whilst similar in outcomes, concentrate on the specific techniques to operate either vehicle. The courses addresses the practical riding/driving skills required to control an A.T.V. (Two & Four Wheel Drives) and UTV (Side by Side Two & Four Wheel Drive) whilst traversing the various terrains encountered throughout the Northern Territory. Whilst the training content is similar to motorcycle training techniques, the course concentrates on the special techniques required to ride/drive these inherently unstable but highly adaptable machines. Emphasis is placed on participants using these vehicles as a work tool, not a 'toy'.
