SMART-NT offers Two Course Options to improve both driver
skill and hazard assessment levels whilst driving any rigid vehicle.
One Day Course
8 HOURS (40%Theory - 60% Practical)
(Emphasises Driving on Suburban & Highway Road Systems)
This option concentrates on the various aspects of surviving the rigours of interacting with other road traffic on suburban and highway road systems. Whilst providing the techniques which enable a driver to enhancement their ability to control a vehicle, a greater emphasis is placed on the mental attitude and behaviour of drivers which contribute to road incidents.
Two Day Course
16 HOURS (40%Theory - 60% Practical)
(Emphasises Driving On Both Bitumen And Dirt Roads Systems)
In addition to the bitumen road content provided by the One Day Course, this course also concentrates on the various techniques required to deal with dirt road driving. Whilst the techniques to counter the dangerous effects of vehicle oversteer, understeer and rollover issues are provided, the main emphasis again is placed on prevention rather than cure/control.
